Image this: waves rolling in, a salty breeze messing up your hair, and a plate of fresh oysters resting in front of you. That's The Sandbar at Deauville Inn in Strathmere, New Jersey. It's not just an area to eat-- it's where you go to take in the coastline life. The view's unbelievable, the entire Atlantic sprawled out like it's revealing off, and the power's perfect, somewhere in between cool and humming. I swear, whenever I go, it seems like striking the reset button.

The food selection's got all the shore classics-- clams, fish sandwiches, you name it-- but they don't skimp on options. If I'm not in the state of mind for seafood, I'll get hold of a salad or something basic, always with a cold drink to match. You're resting there, outdoors around, with seagulls diving and possibly some man strumming a guitar close by. It's not elegant, and that's why it works. You really feel like you become part of the beach, not just taking a look at it.

It's best whether I'm simply stopping by for lunch or meeting up with pals for a sundown hang. Does not matter if you roll up sandy from the beach or connect up a boat nearby, they're amazing with it.
